About Majer Hockey
The Majer Hockey story began in 1983, when at 16 years old, owner Joel Majer, opened small pro shops at Roding Arena and then later at Bayview Arena. Soon after, in 1990, along with his late father, Arthur, he moved his operations to Centennial Arena (currently known as Herb Carnegie Arena). It was here where the father and son business took off as they began to sell hockey equipment, specializing in goalie gear and also being one of the few exclusive Graf Hockey skate fitters in Canada. Joel eventually settled at our present location in 2004, later doubling the size of the store in 2010. For over 30 years, Joel and Majer Hockey has been synonymous with great service, top-notch consistent skate sharpening and fitting players of all ranges from beginners to professionals. We want to be a part of your hockey experience, no matter your level or your age!
